I live in South Carolina.  For this all they did was file the complaint (which was basically what you had in one of your posts with updates to reflect the day I wrote it) with CIG.  The Agency did call and speak to me to get more information before filing the complaint.  CIG responded with the usual smoke blowing and the Agency sent it to me with a cover letter which states that at this point it’s considered resolved and if further action is needed I’ll have to get an attorney.  They do not track whether I actually get the refund but if I do not I could file another complaint.  It I do not get the proper refund then probably the best course of action would be an attorney.

They may have figured that if I filed a BBB, two FTCs, and with my State that I was serious and wasn’t going to go away so they would shout me up by giving me a refund.

My concern is that I doubt if I’ll see a refund and if I do I bet it won’t be anywhere near the proper amount which means I’ll need an attorney.

I received the letter from my Consumer Protection department Friday with their response (two pages) and they have determined it’s in the best interest to cancel my account and issue a refund which I will receive “promptly”.

I figure Morrison/Lee is swamped.  I’ll let you know on Discord what happens.

After two refund requests were rejected I filed with BBB, FTC (twice for no refund and TSO changes) and with my state Consumer Protection division.  I got the CIG is not the entity but we answer anyway nonsense.  I had no results until my State Consumer Protection contacted them and in their response they said I’m supposed to get a refund but we’ll see.  I guess they figured I was serious if I contacted all the agencies.

Derek, I also contacted the Morrison/Lee attorney but have not heard.  In one of the posts you told us to contact you via email if we wanted information on attorneys.  I did but assume you’re swamped.  Who can we contact if we don’t get the proper refund or any at all?

Only $55.  I would think $555 at least or maybe $5555 but in either case they would be sold out in less than five minutes.

Uggh!  They can’t get basic game items (like clothes, not walking through walls, headless people, etc.) to work but they have the manpower to sell shirts and create in-game stores.  Keep milking CR!  The cows are still giving!

ROFL! Major Tom is a great satirist and hits them at the weak points.  I notice less and less of the SC Defenders on his (and other) vidoes and other site comments.  Maybe some are waking up and the rest are playing 2.4+Patch telling them how great a2m is and how immersive this is because things break in real life (not that you fall through walls or out of spaceships but then).

Hmm, based on Major Tom’s latest we can board the ship it in our underwear but get blown apart trying to take off and spend most of our time in the containment cell because it’s our fault the bugs cause the station to shoot us down.  And if we try and get the ship we don’t have enough money.  Given 5 years +, 116 million this looks like what most studios would release the first week of coding and it would be fixed by the second week. I’m just floored that it keeps getting worse with floating heads with no bodies, still running around in underwear.  it doesn’t say a lot for the development team.

Originally the 300+ probably started on developing WC New but then got bounced around between whatever CR’s hottest thing de jour was never getting to finish anything.  Then as time went on and deadlines got missed the panic level got higher in the Ivory Tower office and the developers were chasing multiple conflicting directives.  That is those who were good developers.  It appears many are not very good or new to it and they have been spending all their time wondering why people don’t have heads and drop through walls, etc. with no clue on how to fix it. Of course at some point many of the good ones are gone.  And as time went on, say late 2013 or early 2014 developers probably got replaced by graphic artists who could create jpegs to sell <G>.

Things run in cycles in that x style of game gets very popular then eventually y takes over, then z, then back to x.  I believe SC was first pitched about the time the space sim cycle was starting to ramp up again.  I know I’d been messing with my old WC and Star Wars stuff via Steam or DOSBox from my CDs and when SC was pitched as a WC taking advantage of technology today that was exciting.  I think the other companies like Activision knew that was what people were wanting so they started planning on COD:IW around then, too (say 2011-2012) as space would be the next logical place for COD to go to.  Mass Effect has always been in space.  So here we are three years later and COD:IW is ready for release and Mass Effect: Andromeda to follow shortly with No Man’s Sky.  I bet their alpha’s weren’t as bad as SC current release <G>.

That was a good response and I’m glad to see she gave credit to you.  I do still take issue with how she approached the issue calling those who do not agree “F*ing Trolls” does not fit with her plea for mature responses. I would have had more respect for her if she had simply stated this was here opinion and view on Star Citizen and not done name calling.  If she wants mature responses she needs to have a mature broadcast.  Frankly, I don’t think doing a broadcast the same day she had surgery was wise!

But, from her response she has chosen to ignore all the red flags and still believe CR.
