I enjoyed listening to Derek. I really agree. Sandi has zero respect for the people that even make it possible for her to enjoy the high life. I love the video comments. People can’t handle the truth.
Next thing you know, publishers will become incredibly valued… for their accountability.

You applied to CIG around August or September? Did you apply to a specific office or region? If it was for the LA office, was it a woman who contacted you at some point? Was it a woman who questioned your language skills?
Based on what we know, Sandi Gardiner (the CEO’s wife) is active in many jobs at CIG’s LA office, especially with regards to hiring. She is a major target to follow due to the allegations made in the Escapist articles, as well as the recent replies in the email with Beer (customer). From the Escapist, “[Sandi] would write emails with so much profanity. She would call people stupid, retard, faggot. Accuse men of not having balls. And she was incredibly hostile to other female employees.”
Basically, Beer’s email with Sandi confirmed the profanity and her tendency to insult others. As well as “Sandi is very jealous. She has to be the queen bee at the company.” Too many things in the Escapist article have proven to be true.
I may be bashing on Sandi too much, but it is for good reasons. I think you lucked out finding and getting a job elsewhere.
This post adds more fun, with info from the goons and is a partial reply to Hotsauce ShoTYME’s post #2184, and Derek’s post of #2183.
Illfonic said something big big big in a newsletter. “We had some massive setbacks after our unexpected departure from our work on Star Citizen. When that happened, some of our resources we had on Revival had to be trimmed.” Derek hinted it some time ago, and now we get additional confirmation. A forum thread made its way to CIG, and Jared shuts it down. Illfonic is definitely pissed, and CIG have to clean up the self made mess.
Derek’s posted article about being banned offsite, led to a follow up article from the fine folks at INN. The article was written by Killbotvii and Dolvak. Don’t forget, Dolvak is the guy that threatened to ruin Derek’s career, and after picking a fight, Dolvak deleted all of his older reddit posts and history. He is the moderator of the SC reddit. In the INN article, we have “It claims that BeerfortheBeerGod decided to speak to Sandi about his perma-banning, which there would be no problem with. Except that there’s no legitimate proof that such a conversation happened. All that it’s included in the article is a link to an anonymous pastebin.” Dolvak and INN are such corrupted folks. Who knows what kind of perks or favors they get for being pro CIG. Or maybe they are just the same idiots that can’t accept reality.
It’s pretty damn sad that actual customers are doing everything possible to keep this scam going. Derek says something is coming in “2 weeks.” The problem is that “2 weeks” is some sort of meme and I ain’t Goon enough to know more than 2 meanings.

After watching this… I feel really sorry for the competent actors that were brought onto the project, even if it is just for a paycheck. Chris is just… “magical” at how he ruins everything with serious promise. I have nearly zero hope for SQ42 being fun or enjoyable beyond 20 minutes. I get the impression that anything actually good in the script was likely rewritten and edited out by Chris’ idiotic desire for his “perfection.”
Read about Chris’ efforts here with his very talented composer. “Rescored it almost 30 times” doesn’t sound like a good thing at all.
Seriously, rewatch the Gamescom 2015 video here, and relive the 7 minutes where we thought this project had promise. Aug 7, and then BAM, the first Escapist article on Sept 25. Then it all goes downhill for everyone that has a functional brain.
To think, it’s been only 5 months where I was hopeful that this project had something, even knowing who Chris Roberts was. Then it all splatters as evidence smacks the internet repeatedly.
The Goon forum is http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3748466 and is where Derek spends a lot of his time in. When I make posts, I try to recap events from the Goon/SA forums. It moves way too damn fast.
It is an irrelevant comedy forum, and is best described as a cesspool of trolling, taunting, and ugly internet humor, with the occasional deep serious discussion mixed in. Either way, do NOT visit the Goon forum UNLESS you have a seriously strong tolerance for internet cesspool behavior. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
I am not a goon. I also agree that “Goons ruin everything.”
I spent 3 hours catching up on as much as I could. I read through everything on the Goon forum and then Derek’s twitter, and every word in the Beer email before coming here.
The key point: Chris Roberts is an arrogant egomaniac. He is married to Sandi Gardiner/Roberts, another arrogant egomaniac, as well as a lying bitch. These strong words are incredibly well justified at this point. They are a pair matched in heaven, or hell, and enjoying life thanks to completely idiotic and brain dead folks that just cannot stop giving them money.
In addition to the GLORIOUS email exchange between Beer and Sandi, and Patrick who is confirmed to be the lead forum moderator and customer service manager, we now have further confirmation of the David Jennison letter as being very real, $19 million left, and my favorite, the absolute confirmation of the Aegis Vindicator fighter for $175. For those who do not know, I was among the first post-Beer-not-goons to learn it was an AEGIS ship. I even predicted a good chunk of its design without a picture, based on Derek’s tweets. Since the blog posts kinda broke, I have to use text pasting.

This is among the largest video game scams ever. Crowdfunding for games is not gonna end with a black eye after this. It’ll likely be an ulcer at minimum. At the very least, Star Citizen is near dead. Thank you Derek, for being able to say and remind folks, that the FTC knows about this farce. I know you cannot share much still, but things are going very well now.
What a fun way to build steam for 2016. Checked the 10FtC video transcript, read some weird crap, then check Derek’s twitter for extra confirmation.
Chris is now saying that there will be animals to kill, skin, and sell? I laughed so badly reading the transcript, I had to view it in the video. Turns out Derek did the same too. Chris is soooooo mad, he has to imitate Elite, No Man’s Sky, Infinity Battlescape… what other space games have amazing things that Chris has to imitate?
OK OK, I’m taking it too far. I agree with Derek that there is no game. Just more tech demos, more falsified features, more scope creep, and of course more sales.
What I am really curious about is what Chris is doing in the UK, again. He has some habit of going back and forth, and wasting backer money on flight tickets. This is the age of video conferencing. Draw the diagrams, flow charts on camera, cut costs while keeping communication realtime… but nope. Maybe he and Sandi are sticking in vacations in secret? Though it’s more likely that he is doing more mocap. Both?
I really wonder if Chris treats Erin with “equal” professional respect? Or gives the raving rants that he also gives to his talented, but unloyal employees?
I expect the whales will cough up much more funding for every sale, and drag this amazing show past Feb 2016 till March 2016 easily. If wave 5 ships are announced and sold rapidly, I’d stretch it to June. I try not to underestimate how far whales are willing to ruin their lives for this dream.
