I don’t know how I’d missed it back then. Sorry if this had already been posted before but it is so hilarious. And sad.
Now 2 years after AC release, default config combined with the ever pending broken state of flight mechanics still make it one of the “worst” ever seen. Hilarious. While Frontier made an entire game in that time.
I just know I could never use the X-52 properly on SC when it runs fine everywhere else with no need to be a Cfg Jedi.
Backers think CIG is deceiving them and favor mouse over joystick. It’s not even that. CIG just doesn’t care.

Yes they are faking this in a a way they want us to believe they have the tech for it. And guess what you did believe them.
Derek is not the only one that have seen it’s fake, we all have too and most of us are not engineers.

Everything you said then is CIG disclaimer about what they will do. You are paraphrasing them in the big lines . That shows absolute no proof of nothing.
On other hand you can easy tell they put Nyx in a middle of bad modelised PG (not real time) planet , but yet you choose to believe what they are saying instead of what you are seeing. It’s been 6-8 months from Nyx first vids, 6 months on gamescon demo; They added nothing new. I can’t believe them anymore , they are so laughable. wtf have they been doing in 3 years?

What is no laughable is how they’ve waisted people money and time. 1 year star marine expectation, 2 weeks before citcon they were still saying it would be out soon…. you still believe them.. They lied about LTI in the very first place. You still believe them?, CRoberts himself unable to play his own game because how crap it is on every level. You still believe that clown? Arena Comander stuck at the same exact point it was when released ( take few bugs out add few others). 2 years later ? You still believe them ? Hollywood actors? wtf do we need this in a game? Sooo we are paying millions of dollars for hollywood actor instead of game making. Really? And you still believe them? (not to mention last time I’ve watched a Chris Roberts movie it was terrible). And the list goes and goes…
How can you believe them still? I can make a shiny video too with a planet and a ship aproaching, and I can tell you tales and stories about how the tech underlying will effects etc etc etc, in the end I would have shown nothing new, only talks , never facts.@meat
You are totally missing the point. You just don’t want to listen to what Derek Smart have told you because he is Derek Smart.
We are not saying they ‘faked’ the video just for the purpose of saying so. ; we are saying they did that in 5 minutes and faking the fact they have not done any progress for a long time on the game itself. So yea it’s a cheap made 3d planet with nyx as a proof of hand-made stuff. .
I’m astounished you are not asking yourself ‘what have they been doing all this time’. We ‘ve known about nyx for a year or so, its no new stuff. That pg planet as it stands in the video can be made in 5 minutes with skill and 3dsmax/maya etc. And actually that’s what they did and you say yourself they claimed it took them couple of days to put that up. So again what have they been doing ??? where is the new stuff? Is it Alpha 2.0 ?
Well about it : first the gamescon demo 16core cpus : Yeah they did required 16cores cpus to run that back in august; 6 months is the time they needed to make this a ‘large range’ playable demo. And demo is what ‘alpha 2.0’ is, there’s no gameplay, bunch of copy-past boring ‘missions’ and thats it. Add to it the crashes, bugs, glitches, lags, and people that can’t play more than 10 minutes. Call it whatever you want it’s technically not even an alpha, and ‘alpha’ itself does’nt mean anything out of the bound project. And no, you DON’T sell something as buggy as this to people, claiming it’s playable. It’s called fraud whatever the way you look at it.
There’s no new revolutionary tech as you claim there is. Today games can do that 10 times better and with better scale (and actually doing it > E:D as an eg).
Sooo, Nyx has been made for about a year, they modelised that planet in about 2 days. They are faking the fact they do have a real time pg tech wich , tbh I haven’t seen any of that in the videos. They’ve been working 3-4 years on the game and all they can show to us is those stand alone ‘modules’ with no gameplay , and shiny ships. Do not come by me the with hoollywood actors, comercials, the overwhelming infos they provide ( this has a cost, and no, subscribers money isn’t enough to provide that amount of daily updates), conventions (huge cost),high-end furnitures and studios, and all the bullshit they say they can do , because this is absolutely irrelevant to a game creation project. And yet this is where the money is going at. Smoke and mirrors..
Thus, providing overwhelming amount of intel is a known brain-wash technic, anihilation of free will, one doesn’t have time to compute and synthesis all of this. This is precisly how cults work. This is how they have kept questioning away , by flooding people with infos.It’s too bad you are keeping your eyes closed, cause really you are curious in a civil and nice way about what we’re saying here. what a change from those white knigths and angry birds that are naziing the rsi forums and reddit.
You will see clear once you accept C.Roberts and S.Gardiner might be fraud, and are not that good persons people want them to be.

It is fun to see it takes 10 minutes and a google tutorial to modelize that kind of badly shaped and scaled planet in 3dsmax. That with my rusty 15 years old skills about 3d. Real time PG aside of course.
From space their mountains seem like dozen of kilometers high. I don’t even believe that planet is the size they claim it is. they indeed took nyx that we ‘ve known about for what 6-8 months? Wtf have they been working on since then? . Again there is nothing in there. After 3 years….

Same, actually was wondering when people that asked for refund lately were to start getting this nice kind of an Anwser.
CIG stands that by accepting the patches people are accepting the inherant TOS changes that would go with – shall it be reminded that very few people actually read the TOS. It is right and absolutley legal, you click you sign in.
Now I don’t know about the law in the US about shaddy ads or in our case shaddy TOS change. While EU citizens are then bound to their respective country laws, the EU law is clear about unfair contracts. If a comercial offer is considered too shaddy for the consumer point of view, it is considered possible non-valid, from legal point of view alone. Let alone shaddy altered and unilateral non-edited retro-active TOS…. ( smiling here ).I’m glad I’ve asked for refund when you said ‘it’s now or never’ in a laster blog.

That kind of argument comes often with the SC defenders while it’s entirely false. CIG is playing with OUR money ,not with some traditional investors’s.
Blizzard had earn its money by selling games and had never asked from crowd in the first place . I don’t recall Blizzard having a gigantic statue or AAA studios back in the days when they were developing warcraft 1 and were an unkonwn tiny company . CIG is at step 0 while Blizzard, EA, ID, etc etc are at step 100 with hundreds of millions of dollars they can do whatever they want with. CIG wants to play at step 100 while they can’t afford, and yet they’re paying for high-end studios and stuff.
So if you are fine with CIG spending YOUR and MY money on unecessary stuff, cool for you, but I’m not fine with it here.Again you can’t compare an healthy company like Blizzard that grew up all by itself ,with a crowd-funded company that has no back-up story and that is fragile by its very nature. They can have 10000 orc or jim raynor statues, who cares, they haven’t beg money from the crowd to achieve that.
Why not bring in the best cofee or lamp ? Maybe because bringing in just the standard cofee or lamp should not affect whatsoever the workers efficiency? Maybe because having standard and comon stuff means >>> more money on dev? And as Mr.Smart said, crowd-funded project has to 100% put the money into development. High-end furnitures are not required within a game development cursus. Hmm at my job I don’t remember having a 100000$$ cofee machine, the simple standard one is quite nice enough and do some nice cofee.
