Me, too. Any class action I’m in on.
From my experience and what I’m seeing with CIG I think they are heading off the rails fast. CR is under pressure and not handling it well. Evidently he did some broadcast and berated supporters for being upset Star Marine was cancelled and he tends to handle things by lashing out but I guess when you figure you are the universe and you are totally right everyone else is wrong and not worth consideration. He keeps that up and he’s alienating those who would support him. Just as in a religious cult there will always be the core who believe but eventually that core shrinks down to where it can not sustain the leader’s lifestyle.
I hope things break wide open and the FTC, SEC, and anybody else who has jurisdiction jumps in and exposes it all to the public eye – finances, everything.
Oh and most of the gaming press with a few exceptions – you were useless before SC came along and you are still useless. Ratings correlate directly to ad dollars.
I can relate. Got rejected in my request, they closed the ticket refused to answer any followup emails pointing out they were wrong. I filed with FTC and Better Business Bureau (BBB). They answered the BBB with a boilerplate BS letter. I responded I did not accept the response, used Derek’s list on why. I also stated it was the answer I expected from CIG and that I really didn’t expect they’d do the right thing.
I’ve just written it off and hope the word spreads quickly. It seems that more and more streamers and backers are posting negative reviews nowdays so maybe there is hope. Then the Goat Simulator game about crowdfunding has to be a direct reference to CIG/RSI – at least that’s my opinion.
As you said – Only talk, never fact.
SC is done for!!! Here is the nail in the coffin. The other space sims from Activision, etc. were just the beginning. This one is the BDSS ever! From the people who brought the world Goatsim (never heard of it until I read this). Watch the video in the article and read the article. An excerpt from the Register’s article.
“Entitled <i>Waste of Space</i>, the expansion’s premise is that players “get to beat or trick people into crowdfunding you their hard-earned money, and then spend it on your own dreams of being a space McGyver in space or whatever space nerds do instead of huffing paint in their underwear like normal people”.”

I wonder if the people at Coffee Stains Studios were Star Citizen backers!!
Good point. I have no intention of signing up anyway. I’ve had it with them. However, it’s like a soap opera where you figure they can’t get any dumber than they are and then they do. Kind of like some places I’ve worked at – made Dilbert’s PHB look smart! At this point they are not refunding anything it appears and that’s probably to stop the bleeding and keep what cash they have.
The more times I read the email the more I laugh! They don’t have bug reports they have the Normal Issue Council. Sounds like someone has crossed into their own fantasy and are living in it.
Hehe! My invitation says that due to high volume the copy account to PTU process may take up to 45 minutes to complete and deliver my email. The can’t grant an account access in less than that time they sure can’t host any amount of people! I’m not signing up for it.
Wow, I got an invitation to join the PTU because “my devotion to Star Citizen has been unparalleled”. I guess being a Grand Admiral has it’s perks. Unfortunately the idiots didn’t think enough of me to give me my refund. Denied it and then never answered any followup emails.
Why not – not like you have anything to keep you busy <G>. Seriously that is good news. I’ve made GOG my preferred source. I’ve really liked Steam which I started with in 2008/9 because it seemed to solve the digital delivery problem and manged DRM well in if our computer blew up or we got a new one we could simply re-install Steam client and download what we bought unlike some services that had limited downloads after the purchase. However, in the last couple years their support has gone very wacky with totally useless responses to tickets. I submitted one ticket letting them know their docs for a Linux download site were out of date and got a response saying to reboot, check my network connections, etc. My response to that got an even dumber one from them! Supposedly they are working on that but it’s over a year and nothing’s changed. I haven’t done much online but there have been people locked out of their accounts for months due to Steam screw-ups so I’ve looked for an alternative and found GOG has become more than just an old game download site.
