@anthony Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. And yeah, that Gizmondo thing threw me for a loop. But that’s the sort of thing that happens when you go digging.
As I’ve said before (in my blogs), I will say it again, I too do not believe that Chris and co set out to cheat or scam anyone. But the fact is that, nobody how you look at it, there is lots of evidence to support improper conduct, spending etc. But it’s up to the authorities to determine whether or not any wrong doing does in fact exist.
All I know is that they made a promise, have failed to keep it. And thus far, they have reneged on the most important accountability aspect that they promised backers. That being, to provide refunds and accounting for the project if they failed to deliver within one year of the estimated delivery date. And thus far, they have failed to address it.
@mikoraid As I’ve said time and time again, I do NOT want to see the game fail. That doesn’t mean that I can’t call them out on what they are doing, how they are wasting backer money, lying to backers continuously etc.
@meat Hi and welcome to the forums. Any yeah, we tend to have civil discussions on my blog site because people who break the rules, just get IP blocked/banned.
Anyway, I understand your argument and I’ve addressed it time and time again. It’s really not that important to compare 3yrs vs 4yrs. And most of the people making that argument are not game developers. Gamers are in no position to determine what stage a game should be in, after 3 or 4 years. Only devs get to make that call. And even so, even the best of us experienced devs, get it wrong. All the time.
The fact is that 3 or 4 years in, they do not have any form of a “game” to show. That’s the problem. And if you’re at that stage this far in, wherein you are still calling it pre-Alpha, when all you have is a glorified tech demo, that’s why I for one have always said that this game is another 2 to 3 years out.
Aside from that, they promised to deliver the game in Nov 2014. There is no getting around that.

Yeah, something is “off” with his $30K claims and I was actually discussing in a Twitter DM chat yesterday.
That’s the issue right there. Sure Chris has stated that this development evolves over time. However, that’s not the original promise. And as I said in my latest blog, thus far, not even 10% of what was promised has been delivered. And 2016 is already here.
