Is that the ELE? Looks pretty huge to me.
My own assessment of the techdemo client combined with my own knowledge of software development (which got me interesting in participating in the first place) got me to the conclusion that the thing is fundamentally broken beyond repair.
My personal impression is that it got hosed by converting it to 64 bit. Lets face it: Neither CIG nor Crytek have someone like John Carmack, who might have pulled such a stunt successfully. The people working with that suboptimal game engine weren’t up to the task.
Good thing I got my refund already before I got hands on the “Alpha 2.0” mess.
It’s an arcade FPS meant to be played with mouse and keyboard and maybe a XInput controller. You simply fell for the simulation BS like many others. SC is not a sim and never will be. BTW: Freelancer was using mouse X axis for yaw too (no stick support), so it’s no surprise that SC controls the same.
CIG simply doesn’t have the server capacity to support 1.3 million accounts. They collected money for it, but they didn’t invest it.
Sadly, I can’t watch thosebecause he decides to use copyrighted music on almost every video.
They use those alt accounts for voting fraud, because they actually believe the developers give a shit about forum votes.
Can’t wait until they add a pre-Evocati test flight limited to 42 carefully selected backers.
Well, the media can do research and ask questions like
How many unique paying backers do you really have, CIG? How many unique credit cards did pay for Star Citizen?
Then verify it by checking a second source. Just like real journalists did in the old days.
Parroting stuff from marketing websites is not reporting and is not journalism. Gaming clickbait blogs are not “media”.
