That would be a very clear and open sign that there is/was something wrong with it - why else remove it? - and that would bring up the obvious follow up question how much was actually true of it all those years. No, that part of the scam most likely will continu "as normal". Even showing real decline in funding could (will) be interpreted as a sign that things are amiss.
