Good God, that's brutal.
I remember those damn ads, too, and how they gradually transitioned. Is Evony still around, even?

Yeah, I know, right. And yes, Evony is still around. But a bunch of other games have been following that same ad blitz formula, but not to much success.

Star Citizen isn't a game. It's a TV show about a bunch of characters making a game. It's basically "This is Spinal Tap" - except people think the band is real.

This is titled "The Emperor Triumphant" painted between 2012-2014 by renowned French artist Rien d'Archère, it shows the Emperor Crobler at the peak of his powers. He smiles at the viewer, pointing to the stars with an outflung arm. "Come with me and live the dream!" he seems to say. Sat upon his mighty steed Star Citizen, the world is his oyster.
Compare the above to this painting by controversial Russian artist Derki Smartov. Painted during 2015-2017, this is simply titled "Deathmarch". After his comprehensive defeat on the freezing Steppe of Reality we see the beaten Emperor retreating with his defeated army of minions. Every stroke of the artists brush cries: Oh the Humanity! Where did it all go wrong?

I wondered why Lesnick wasnt in the second painting. Then I remembered that since they were all starving to death he would have been one of the first to have been eaten. Well before the horses and pack animals.
