So this turned out to be a huge dumpster fire

ARK had an upcoming DLC as part of the season pass. But because a majority of their players had already bought that, and thus less money, they decided to release it as a separate game - through a different company - with the same lead devs as ARK. ATLAS!

I feel many steps they did in ARK were just awful, this one looks much worse. Players have even found a way to pull of the ARK menu in atlas. I watched angry joe a while back and a few others showing off how bad the networking was implemented.

Yeah, this has been a disastrous cash grab. Someone shared a YT video like a blooper reel of just how bad it is while being played by various streamers.

At 1:59 it looked like cig wrote some of the code for them since their space ships do the same thing.
